Somerset road shows support Reycle Week
Recycle Now Week encourages people to recycle more and to reduce the amount of waste they produce. Advisors at the road show will provide hints and tips on reducing waste and advice on recycling and composting Somerset.
Steve Read, Managing Director of Somerset Waste Partnership said: “Thanks to local people Somerset has one of the highest recycling rates in the country. However the best way to look after our natural resources is to avoid waste in the first place, and that’s the message we’ll be taking on the road.
This summer, we’ll also launch a Waste Minimisation Strategy to help cut down the amount of waste we produce, which is good for everybody”.
The waste reduction roadshows are free, so come along and find out more:
Monday 22nd June, 10am to 3pm, Highbridge ASDA, TA9 3BX Tuesday 23rd June, 10am to 3pm, Axbridge, Town Centre (area outside Oakhouse Hotel) Friday 26th June, 10am to 3pm, Crewkerne, outside Town Hall
