SORT IT PLUS deadlines extended and new roadshows

Due to the recent snow there has been a delay in the delivery of notification packs to areas covered by the next phase of the new waste collections. Therefore Somerset Waste Partnership has announced an extension to the deadline for returning forms until 27th January, but still asks that residents needing to return forms do so as soon as possible.

The programme of roadshows was also disrupted by the weather but there will be further opportunities for residents to view the new bins and speak to SWP officers about the new services.

An additional roadshow will be held at the ReCreation Centre on Rhode Lane in Bridgwater on Monday 1st February from 10am to 2pm, when questions can be asked, the new bins will be on display and forms can be delivered direct to SWP staff attending (allowing people to extend the deadline a little further).

Residents unable to attend this roadshow can view the bins at a static display in the foyer at Sedgemoor District Council Offices at Bridgwater House in Kings Square. SWP staff will also be attending the Sedgemoor District Council drop in clinic held at the Princess Hall in Burnham on Tuesday 26th January from 9.30am to 12.30pm to answer questions and receive forms.
