Bring banks for recycling
Recycling banks and collection points are facilities to which you can take materials for recycling, such as clothes, glass containers and paper.

With the enhancement of kerbside recycling collections across Somerset, Council-run banks in other districts have been withdrawn. This is due to low usage, as most households recycle at the kerbside, and increased maintenance costs.
A number of charities and organisations such as the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance maintain recycling banks to raise funds. See Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance or Salvation Army for more information.
An increasing number of shops have recycling collection points for batteries, carrier bags and low-energy light bulbs.
And there are a network of 18 Recycling Centres and Community Recycling Sites in Somerset with a wide range of facilities to recycle many materials.
