Our online communities have rules and guidelines, which we follow. We reserve the right to mute or block you, and remove any of your contributions if they break the rules or guidelines of the relevant community, or any of the following:

  • Be civil, tasteful and relevant.
  • Do not post messages that are unlawful, libellous, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented or racially offensive.
  • Do not post content copied from elsewhere, for which you do not own the copyright.
  • Do not post the same message, or very similar messages, more than once.
  • Do not publicise your, or anyone else’s, personal information, such as contact details.
  • Do not advertise products or services.
  • Do not impersonate someone else.

Political messages

Somerset Waste Partnership, as a partnership of local authorities, is politically neutral in its communications. Do not use our online communities or content to promote political messages at any time. These will be removed and you may be muted or blocked.

Complaints

If you want to raise a concern or a complaint about something posted in an online community for which Somerset Waste Partnership is responsible, you can find details about our procedures and make a complaint online.

NB: Our online communities are not monitored continuously.
